Switchlight

SwitchLight is an AI-based imaging tool developed by a team of dedicated AI researchers based in Seoul, South Korea. The primary function of this tool is to permit users to copy and paste the lighting of any portrait images to create their own stunning visuals. In addition, it provides the functionality of illuminating images using High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI), a panorama image that contains the surrounding lighting environment. SwitchLight also facilitates the extraction of normal, albedo, and roughness map that can be integrated with any 3D software that supports physical based rendering. SwitchLight supports various image formats including PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WEBP formats for input images and generates output in PNG format. The tool reportedly delivers optimal results with images having a resolution below 2048x2048, and especially with portrait-oriented images. Users with an active subscription can upload their own HDRI or portrait images to generate bespoke templates. While the tool in itself is primarily for image enhancement, it represents a broader thrust by the creators to develop innovative AI-based solutions that unlock the creative potential of people.
